Hello again! As usual, I pray that all is well and all will be well in your lives.

In the last post we set the ground rules for reading the bible, so that we could start discussing what it means to “Ask Him to forgive you, come into your life and start a personal relationship”, as well as any future content.

So, let’s dive right into the bible and start talking about it. To start, let’s understand our relation to God, that is how we are like God. I love Genesis, because there are so many details and enlightenment in it.

“Then God said, “Let us make mankind in our image, in our likeness,” – Gen 1:26 (NIV)

“Then the Lord God formed a man from the dust of the ground and breathed into his nostrils the breath of life, and the man became a living being.” – Gen 2:7 (NIV)

God is a trinity: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Our first revelation of this is when he says “let us”. They are different persons, but are equal and operate as one. This is important for you to know at a basic understanding, but that’s all I’ll say on the Trinity for now. More details on the Trinity in a future post with scriptures to explain it.

Now, when God said: “in our image, in our likeness”, it meant much more than just looking like Him. We also have the same emotions as God and we are also a trinity: body, soul and spirit. Please note, that the soul and the spirit are not the same, they are two different things. The soul, “you”, is influenced by either the body or the spirit.

Going back to post #2 – God Is Real Part 2, we talked about being quiet. In that post I said “When you come to God, come like this: open and empty and without statements. A very simple way to sum up and say this is: come humbly. This is God’s language! His spirit literally hears your quietness when it’s like this”. Openness, emptiness and without statements is also you coming into connection with your spirit. God dwells in the spiritual realm, not the carnal/body realm. This is why people cannot believe, relate or receive from God, because they are too (or all) carnal.

Finally, the question 🙂 When you come to Jesus sincerely and humbly. When you ask Him to be real to you and believe in Him. When you ask Him to forgive you and come into your life and start a personal relationship. This is what it means to be born again: you are then born of the spirit. Your spirit was there, just like the dust was formed, but life wasn’t breathed into it; it was never birthed.

So, I’ll say it one more time. Come to God open and empty and without statements. Ask him to be real to you and believe in Him. Ask Him to forgive you and come into your life and start a personal relationship. Be born again!

In the next couple of posts, we will talk about the Trinity and the price that was paid for redemption.
May God bless and keep all who read this.
May God bless and keep all brothers and sisters, new and old, in the faith in His name.

With His love and mine,
Chrom
